Auto Gallery 2.52

Changes since 2.50:

+ FLV support
* 'Image Gallery' link now doesn't use static 'e107_plugins' directory
* Email to friend view link should now work
* Added some permissions error reporting for the LatestComments.xml file
* Thumbnails now chmodding correctly as the are created
+ Hungarian language pack updated
+ Dutch language pack updated
* Watermarking .htaccess file moved to gallery directory (works with non default gallery dir)
* XML error reporting is more verbose
+ Language admin section
+ Admin menu now uses the e107 'show_admin_menu' function

Autogallery v2.50 Out

OK, I didn't get around to doing all of the requested features, but I got most of them. Expect preview images, and timer slide show in 2.60.

I'll do a more detailed news post later, right now it's 2:30 AM and I'm going to bed.

Autogallery v2.50 Soon

This is a big one though. Most of the requested features are in, including watermarking, ability to rotate images and latest comments. It will probably become the next 'real' version (i.e. put onto e107coders etc.).

I'll probably release it tonight after I've done some testing on Linux.

It is currently operating now on Cerebral Synergy if you want to take a look.

Update: There seems to be a bug with e107, when I include class2.php, and have a script that returns an image content-type it screws up for languages excluding English. Anyway, I've had to fix it so that the resizing and watermarking scripts don't use e107 at all (which means loading my own $pref array). That took a while so the release is delayed. I think that was the last bug though (famous last words...).

Update 2: OK, the arcade integration is done! That means scores from flash games can be submitted to a top scores table displayed below the game itself. See this page for more info. Thanks to SpooK for his help. Still some testing to go...

Autogallery - Now with ratings (v2.40)

So I finally added in ratings to AG. You can turn them on from the "XML meta settings" admin section. It allows you choose a user class that can rate, and whether to render inside an IFRAME.

The XML files now also support an arcade top scores table, I just have to add the rendering part and the integration with the flash files (like I said I would a long time ago).

There's also a few more settings and big fixes.

Autogallery Update - v2.35

This release includes major changes to the upload section:

Users can now upload thumbnails with non-thumbnailable files (such as movies and flash animatons)
Users can select a gallery at the top of the upload page
Review page shows thumbnails where possible
For reviewed uploads, users can 'suggest' a gallery

Plus a heap of bug fixes. The admin edit page now uses the language files.

I'll release a couple more versions with incremental features/improvements, then I'll create a 'real' release once I'm happy it's stable.

Next up is probably ratings, and um, watermarking because that looks kind of interesting :)

Autogallery stuff

OK I managed to get some hours in for Auto Gallery.

Version 3.0 hasn't worked out the way I hoped, so for now I'm just adding some requested features to v2.x.

I've changed the admin menu so it less clumsy. You now enter 'admin mode', which gives you extra options on the page. Once you are in this mode you can rename, move and add stuff. I've also made it so that you can rename, delete & move more than 1 gallery/media file at a time.

Anyway, I'm not done yet, but you can download the version below (it should be fairly stable):

Not dead, just tired

Hey everyone,

Starting a new job and moving out from home took it out of me a bit. As such I haven't been motivated to update the site, or even look at it (which would then remind me to get off my ass and update the site). For this I apologise. My weekends have been filled with shopping, cleaning etc. for my new apartment.

So I've fixed the site up, re-added users and downloads. A proper bug tracker is coming soon for auto gallery/BIMP, and I'll get around to things slowly.

I've turned comments off for the time being, so I can get a chance to catch up without getting flooded.
